About Operation Recovery - CrossRoads Missions Western KY

On December 11th 2021, Western KY experienced what has since been determined as the worst tornadic event in U.S. history. The tornado was on the ground for more than 160 miles and damaged, or destroyed, over 15,000 homes. Many communities were affected, some so severely that they no longer even exist.

The immediate response to the tornado was amazing. Disaster relief organizations came from all over the U.S. and abroad to help with the initial needs. But, the question asked by so many of those affected was, what happens when all the disaster relief organizations leave?

It has been said that it will take as much as 10 years to restore these communities, and CrossRoads Missions wants to help. In response, we have created a permanent field in Princeton, KY where we plan to spend a minimum of three years helping the recovery effort in Hopkins and Caldwell counties and the surrounding areas. In partnership with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, CrossRoads Missions goal is to glorify the Lord by making His Church the hero in the recover efforts. To do that, we will need over 5000 volunteers annually to come and work on construction related projects of all kinds. We need skilled and unskilled volunteers alike. The focus is not on the projects, the focus is on building relationships and bringing hope to the people in these communities by serving as the hands and feet of Jesus.

This is s feeless missions opportunity, so come for a day, or for a week, and CrossRoads Missions will put you up and feed you at no cost. Its a great way to get friends and family involved in serving the Lord together!
