About Dynamic work in Bagamoyo, Tanzania with CCS
As a CCS volunteer in Bagamoyo, you can help individuals in the community learn and practice English, a key factor for future academic and professional success, and ultimately, financial independence. In Tanzania, English fluency is required in order to advance to secondary school. In addition to supporting education and English proficiency, volunteers may also have an opportunity to work with young adults looking to improve their job prospects, local artisans working to maintain traditional folk art, or adult community groups.
We need volunteers to help with:
Volunteer to assist with the growth and development of children
December 30, 2014 7:00pm
You will support organizations who work to provide shelter, meals, and educational services to local disadvantaged youth in order to better prepare them for future success. As you support organizations providing day time care to local youth, you're also enabling parents to more actively and effectively pursue quality employment, which then allows them to offer their children a better, brighter future.
Volunteer to improve education for children
December 30, 2014 7:00pm
You will have an opportunity to help teach and support orphans and otherwise vulnerable children. Your presence and enthusiasm as a volunteer in the classroom will help to improve attendance and participation by making learning fun and engaging. Whether you're an experienced educator, or a first-timer, your ability to share your own unique perspective gives you an easy and effective way to connect with your new students.
Volunteer to improve the quality of care of people with disabilities
December 30, 2014 7:00pm
You will help to offer mothers a safe and nurturing place to bring their children with disabilities during the day for services and support. One of our partner organizations in Bagamoyo was actually started by a local teacher who experienced the stresses of having a child with disabilities firsthand, and saw the benefit of a supportive community of educators and nurturers.
Volunteer to support those affected by HIV/AIDS
December 30, 2014 7:00pm
You will have an opportunity to work with women, children, or the community at large. All of our local partners opened their doors in order to support those affected by HIV/AIDS, and also to act as an educational resource to combat transmission, raise awareness, and fight stigmas.
