About Cook & Serve in the Community Kitchen!

Volunteers are welcome anytime from 8-1:00 pm, Monday through Friday, when we serve free breakfast and lunch to the Lansing community! Cooking begins at 8:00 am so that we can serve breakfast from 9-11:00 am. Lunch is usually a bagged lunch that we prepare throughout breakfast to serve at 11:30 am. Volunteers will have the chance to food prep, cook, serve, clean, maintain a certified kitchen, and to immerse themselves in the diverse Lansing community. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who are looking to learn many different professional skills. For practicing Spanish speakers, this may also be a great chance to practice your speaking skills! Mondays and Fridays are often days when we need more people, but help will always be welcome any day of the week!
