About Volunteer Guardian ad litem

Our volunteer advocates spend an average of 4-5 hours a month engaging with their appointed child or family group. They visit the child monthly (or more often if desired), speak with their social worker, teacher, placement, and other parties in the child's life, and then advocate for the best needs of their child in the dependency system.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and we fully train and support them at every stage of the process.

Application Process

Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass background checks.
