About Spring Training class to become a Certified Volunteer Telephone Crisis Counselor

CONTACT the Crisis Line will begin classes to become a Certified Volunteer Telephone Crisis Counselor beginning Tuesday, February 3, 2015. The classes are from 1:30-4:30 once a week for fourteen consecutive weeks. The training will take place at Fondren Presbyterian Church located on 3220 Old Canton Road in Jackson, MS. There is no charge if there is a commitment of eight hours a month volunteer service for one year after training. You may register at www.contactthecrisisline.org or call 601-713-4099. In addition to learning to be a Crisis Line volunteer and learn about the many social service agencies available throughout the state, the training will help those who participate in becoming better parents, better work partners, better friends, better spouses.
