CONTACT Helpline is looking for volunteers to call elderly people within the community that are part of our Reassurance Program for a wellness check. When contacting each reassurance client, volunteers might be making sure that individual has taken their medication, that they are doing okay that day and even spending a few minutes talking with them to provide some social interaction. Calls can take anywhere from 1-5 minutes depending on the client's needs.
Volunteers can either make these calls from CONTACT Helpline's office or can make them from their own home if they have the ability to make long distance calls and have internet access. Volunteers are also encouraged to commit to volunteering at least 1 time a week with this volunteer opportunity.
