About Comprehensive Training Classes

Would you like to get involved in a crisis call center?

Beginning in February, CONTACT Helpline will be hosting comprehensive training classes on being a crisis call taker. This will be an extensive training program - 17 classroom hours and 19 apprenticeship hours - focusing on listening skills, marriage and family conflicts, substance abuse, sexual abuse, depression and suicide, and loneliness and grief.

Contact Helpline is looking for people from all walks of life. Whether you have experience in crisis work (such as ministers, advisers, counselors, first responders, mental health workers) or you're someone who just wants to help (teachers, students, retirees, community volunteers), you can change someone's life!

Orientation will be held at the following times at the West Point courthouse:
Thursday, January 28, 2016; 10 am -12 PM
Friday, January 29, 2016; 5-7 PM

(You must attend orientation before you can attend classes.)

Classes will be held at the following times:
Thursday, February 4: 8:30 am - 4 pm
Friday, February 5: 8:30 am - 4 pm
Saturday, February 6: 8:30 am - noon

Other dates to be determined.
