About Become an Energy Coach!

The CWC is looking for volunteer Energy Coaches!

Help your community and planet in a hands-on way! Volunteers are trained during a three-part, 12-hour workshop on how to perform home energy tune-ups for local families. Learn how to inspect homes, review utility bills, and install items such as water-saving shower heads and LED bulbs, to save energy, water and $ for low-income residents throughout Alachua County.

Join us for our three-day workshop:
Thursday, March 21st.......5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Tuesday, March 26th.......5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Saturday, March 30th.......9:00 am - 3:00 pm
*Attendance at all three dates is required.

Volunteering with the CWC is flexible, but our program is most sustainable when our trainees can commit to performing at least six home energy tune-ups for local families after they take part in the training. Tune-ups last between 2-3 hours​, and are held throughout the week during daylight hours.
