The CWC is a grassroots community coalition whose mission is to improve home weatherization and energy efficiency for low-income households through education, volunteer work projects, and community-building.
Our volunteer Energy Coaches are trained to perform comprehensive energy/water audits (or tune-ups) on homes. We help residents better understand their utility bills, install energy and water-saving measures while we are there, and recommend tips and changes after we leave for residents to save even further!
Data shows our tune-ups save an average of at least 6,000 gallons of water, 1,200 kWh of energy and $200-$300 per household/year following our tune-ups. We have helped over 875 families in Alachua County since we started, and look forward to helping many more, with your support!
