Giving a ride is an easy way to give back to the community and make an immediate impact on the lives of others by providing access to healthcare and healthy food. Your positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the region is seen with each ride you give to essential non-emergency medical and social service appointments, the grocery store, food pantry, post office, bank, or pharmacy. You can drive as little as 2.5 hours per week or as much as you want to. You drive your own vehicle and select the trips you drive so volunteer driving fits your personal schedule. You also receive mileage reimbursement of $0.655/mile.

Application Process

The registration process is easy to do at no cost to you! After completing the Volunteer Driver enrollment form, background checks are conducted with State Police, Division of Motor Vehicles, and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services.
