About Change a Life: Teach seniors to use technology via Tablets!

CTN has recently launched digital literacy programs in Austin, Texas and we are seeking volunteers to work in our non-profit partner computer labs.

Computer/Tablet Tutor
As a computer/tablet tutor, you work one-on-one with learners, providing instruction that responds to learners’ needs in real-time. This can include teaching basic skills such as using a keyboard, searching the Internet for information, using Apps, communicating via social media, using e-mail and Skype, and creating documents such as resumes.

Computer Teacher
Experienced volunteer teachers may be able to facilitate a computer training for a specific tool or skill in classes up to 12 learners in senior centers and affordable housing developments around the Austin area. Some popular topics are internet safely, google drive, graphic design (Adobe), and social media (LinkedIn for work readiness). If you are an expert in a specific area and enjoy helping others learn please reach out and tell us about it!
