About Office and Seasonal Help

So many projects to choose from...where to start? Do you want to help in help in our office? We need folks who can help with social media marketing, Photoshop, photography, data entry, grant writing, sorting/organizing/packaging donations for distribution, assistance with stuffing envelopes, and so much more...

If seasonal projects are a better fit for you, we have a wide selection of projects year-round. We need people to conduct collection drives, help with planning, promoting and implementation/distribution. Beginning in February, we have a Share the Love campaign which collects personal care items. In March, we have a Health and Wellness Fair, and in April/May there is a project to collect items for our Rise Summer Camp, including arts & crafts, sporting equipment, games, and medical supplies. By midsummer, we are collecting for our Rise Has Your BACKpack Drive going full steam. In late September, we begin ramping up for the Thanksgiving distributions and Hot Meal program. In December, we are still going strong with our Winter Coat/Accessories Drive, Holiday Gift and Adopt A Family Program as well as the collection for the MLK Pajama Drive in January.

Throughout the year, we need people to help with setup and breakdown at the thrice-weekly free community dinners held at area churches.

We also sponsor an annual Latino Festival, during the summer, which always needs volunteers.

Anyone who is bilingual and can help with translation is also welcome!
