About Backpack Books

Backpack Books incorporates a literacy-mentoring aspect into the preexisting HACAP program which provides backpacks of food to elementary students who are at risk of not having food over the weekend.

Coe students are paired with students from Taylor Elementary School and meet once a week to read and talk about what they're reading.
