About America Reads Day! (#1)
On October 17th and October 18th, elementary schools in the greater Cedar Rapids area host volunteers who would like to come in and read to young students during 30 minute long "reading time slots" throughout the day.

We need volunteers to help with:

Pick a favorite book from your childhood or grab one off the shelf at the school's library and read to elementary students for a while during the day. This is a short and sweet volunteer opportunity where you can influence a young student's passion for reading and learning!
Between travel to whichever school you choose to attend and reading to the students, this opportunity should take no more than 45 minutes of your time!
