About Key Mentoring

Key Mentoring is a site based mentoring program that equips youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to make positive life choices by providing them with an adult or teen mentor (14 years or older) who will be a positive role model and support their development. We currently have sites in Bath, Elsie, St. Johns, and Fowler. We guarantee that after one year of mentoring, not one but two lives will be changed forever!

We need volunteers to help with:

Lead mentors facilitate the Key Mentoring sites. They lead an hour of group programming (designed by the program director) and assist mentoring pairs during the one on one mentoring hour. Lead mentors must be 21 years or older and should have some experience facilitating groups of youth or adults. All lead mentors must complete the 4-H screening process which includes an application, background checks, interview and volunteer orientation to be considered. We are currently in need of lead mentors for Fall 2014 in the sites at EE Knight Elementary (Elsie), Eureka Elementary (St.Johns), the Bath Township Library Center (Bath) and St. Johns Middle School.
