About Volunteer

We are so grateful to live and work in such a welcoming community. Hundreds of refugees are resettled each year in the Shenandoah Valley after fleeing persecution in their own home countries. While refugees come to the United States with skills, knowledge, resilience, and grit, their resettlement journey is still long and full of many challenges. Part of our work must be to provide community care to those who left community behind.
