About Wood Street Commons Free Store

Residents of Wood Street Commons can access the Free Store to pick out any needed clothing and shoes. Our Food Pantry is open after dinner once a week, where any resident can take what is needed for their rooms. The Food Pantry is regularly stocked at the will of donations from the public and The Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. Despite residents having their own room, it is challenging as they are ill-equipped to cook their own meals due to the lack of space and appliances. The Food Pantry is stocked with mainly microwave-ready meals and shelf-stable items. Volunteers are needed to assist with regular donations and distribution.
