About Mentoring, Teaching, Improving

There are 3 distinct ways you can volunteer at the Children's Home of Kingston:
1. Mentoring: Some of our boys have no family resources and watch other boys with families go on outings and home visits. Mentors spend 1-to-1 time with one of our boys in the community, usually a few hours per week. The tasks can be simple, like going to a movie, playing a game, or just conversing. Those experiences make a huge difference!
2. Teaching: Have a special skill that you can share? Our boys like to be kept busy and especially enjoy hands-on activities. Volunteer a few hours a week by teaching a skill, whether it is woodworking, meditation, drawing, music, etc.
3. Improving: Our large campus can always use some extra hands to spruce up the property. Our maintenance staff will appreciate any assistance with yard work, painting, cleaning and more to help make our campus sparkle and shine!
