About Volunteer and Mentor Opportunities

Afterschool Homework Help:
• 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday
• Volunteers are responsible for providing academic support to a group of children
• Volunteers can also participate in activities such as basketball, arts and crafts, and recess
• Students range from 6-13 years old
Saturday Resource Center:
• 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Volunteers are paired one-on-one with a child for the day
• Volunteers provide academic support to students and engage in recreational activities
• Volunteers and students are provided breakfast and lunch
• Students range from 6-13 years old
One-on-One Mentoring:
• Mentors must meet with their mentees once a week for at least one hour a week for one year; mentors can select the dates and times of meetings
• Mentors are matched one-on-one with mentees
• Students range from 8-18 years old
