About Christian Youth in Action (CYIA)

CYIA is a training school which teaches our youth how to teach while sharing God's message of salvation through a Bible lesson, songs, and games. Teens attend a pre-training weekend(local level) in early May, which will prepare them to attend the 9 day training school at the end of June with teens from all over the state of Washington. During their time at the training school, teens are challenged in their walk as they are encouraged through guest speakers and/or a visiting missionary. They attend classes for the first weekend which will prepare them to teach a 5-Day Club program. This 5-Day Club is just that- 5 days of teaching kids for an hour and a half each day- it is like a mini VBS at a home, church, park, etc. Monday thru Friday it is their chance to go out in teams and conduct an actual 5-Day Club, putting into practice the training they have just received. Each trainee receives a training kit with their fee. With this kit, they are encouraged to return to their local areas and teach at least 3 more clubs through the summer.
