Celebrate EDU with The Grommet

A fundraising campaign for Celebrate EDU

Sparking brighter futures for young adults with developmental disabilities.

Celebrate EDU is honored to be selected as The Grommet’s featured philanthropy! A few months ago The Grommet stumbled upon my 28th birthday video and were intrigued by the work we are doing at Celebrate EDU. We are honored to be included in Grommet’s mission to support sustainable living, philanthropy, underrepresented entrepreneurs, innovation, and social enterprises.

I started Celebrate EDU after watching my brother Brent experience the lack of opportunities for adults with autism. He struggled to find employment and community involvement after high school, it wasn’t until Brent wrote the Unintentional Humor; Celebrating the Literal Mind® books that he found his path. Today, Brent is a thriving entrepreneur who travels the country as a sought-after inspirational speaker. Celebrate EDU was created to teach individuals with disabilities how to pursue the path of self-employment.

The goal of our Supported Entrepreneur Programs is to equip young adults with developmental disabilities with the tools they need to help them turn their talents and skills into employment. The best way to foster entrepreneurship is to provide the training that empowers individuals to pursue this path.

Celebrate EDU intends to become the leading entrepreneurship organization for individuals with disabilities in the country. In order to do this, we must expand the reach of our Supported Entrepreneur Programs so we can bring the benefits of entrepreneur education to as many people as possible. We are asking for your support so that we can make this goal a reality.
