About Volunteer Child Advocate

CASA of the Southern Tier recruits and trains volunteer citizens. Consider becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Court appointed by a judge, our volunteers are assigned a child(ren) when they enter family court due to a neglect or abuse situation. CASA's advocate for the best interest of the children and remain a support throughout the court process until permanent placement is secured. Well-trained and competent volunteers are the backbone of the CASA program. Each Advocate serves as a “voice for the child” and the one stable person for them in a system of unknowns and new faces! For more information call 607-936-2272 or email info@casasoutherntier.org.
