About CASA Volunteer
CASA Volunteers ensure children's best interests are represented at every stage of the case housed in the Hardin County Family Court System. This includes: building a one-on-one relationship with the child in which they are assigned; accepting responsibility for the management and record keeping of a case assigned by a Family Court Judge; maintaining confidential records regarding the case including appointment schedules, interview notes, medical records, court papers, and other documented information pertinent to the case; attending all court hearings and meetings pertaining to the child; and submitting recommendations concerning the case to the court in a signed, written report. CASA volunteers directly report to their Volunteer Advocate Coordinator and/or Executive Director.
