About CASA Volunteer

CASA Volunteers ensure children’s best interests are represented at every stage of their case within the family court systems across the five counties we serve: Hardin, LaRue, Meade, Breckinridge, and Grayson.
Volunteers build a one-on-one relationship with the child to whom they are appointed and accept responsibility for the management and documentation of that case as assigned by a Family Court Judge. Duties include maintaining confidential records such as appointment schedules, interview notes, medical records, court documents, and other case-related information.
Volunteers attend all court hearings and relevant meetings, and they submit signed, written reports with their independent recommendations to the court. CASA Volunteers are directly supported and supervised by their Advocate Coordinator.
