About Volunteer for CASA - Change a Child's Story

Become an advocate for a child or sibling group in the foster care system. A trained CASA volunteer is appointed by a judge to be an advocate for children, to give them hope, support, and encouragement, and to ensure that their voices are heard as the juvenile court system seeks safe, permanent, and nurturing homes for them. CASA volunteers visit with their child at least monthly, talk to foster parents, parents and caseworkers, and attend their court hearings and write reports to the court. https://lackawannacountycasa.org/volunteer/
Application Process
Volunteers will complete an application, 30 hours of training, and receive child abuse, police, and FBI clearances
