About Child Advocacy

CASA Volunteer Advocates are community members from every background who are trained to recognize and understand the educational, social-emotional, and physical needs of abused and neglected children and to advocate for the children in court. By handling only one case at a time, the CASA has the time to get to know the child, understand their history and circumstances and advocate for their unique needs.
CASA volunteers help judges make better decisions for the child's well-being. Children with a CASA receive more court-ordered services, spend less time in out-of-home care and are more likely to succeed in school.
