Whether it's a work layoff, an expensive emergency room visit or a contentious divorce, such common legal matters can devastate Cook County's most vulnerable residents.

CARPLS is an innovative, free legal service that immediately connects licensed attorneys with struggling individuals through our legal advice and referral hotline. We quickly and efficiently provide information, expert advice, document preparation, referrals, and more. Our attorneys cover a broad range of issues including family, consumer debt & landlord tenant law.

We provide excellent (online and in person) training and support for our volunteers. A CARPLS supervising attorney is available on all shifts.
