About Tutor a child in reading or math--an impact that lasts a lifetime
More children than ever need help to catch up and keep up in reading and math. We're seeking volunteers for the summer and fall who can spend an hour a week tutoring a child in grades K-12. You can customize the subject and grade levels you're most comfortable with tutoring, and we'll match you to a child! We'll train you and provide you with the tools you need to be successful in tutoring a child who needs your help.
Application Process
To learn more about our award-winning tutoring program and how to become involved, please visit http://carnegiecenterlex.org/tutoring/be-a-tutor/. Note that if you are tutoring virtually, you can meet outside of the times set for tutoring inside our building. Prior to beginning tutoring, we will offer an orientation and also run a background check, covering the cost. Thanks for your interest in tutoring a child, and changing a life!
Family-Friendly
Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
