About Volunteer Medical Transportation Driver

Calhoun County DHS is currently seeking volunteers to provide transporation to Medicaid recipicients roundtrip from their residence and the medical provider.

Without the assistance of volunteers, these individuals would not
be able to access the care that is needed.

DHS volunteer drivers must use their own personal vehicle but will be reimbursed mileage (current rate of $0.555/mile) and meals if travel is within the time range for each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Volunteers must have valid driver's license with a clean driving history
Volunteers must pass criminal background check and Central Registry
Volunteers must provide proof of vehicle registration and insurance.
