About Mentor for Teen Character and Leadership Building Program

Building Twentyone Teen Center is committed to giving students the opportunity to develop life changing values, while coaching them to find their passion and purpose to be actively engaged in their families, schools, and communities.

This spring, we are doing a character and leadership building program to get our teens actively engaged in thinking about their futures (both immediate and far-flung). Part of this program involves breaking off into small groups and discussing a weekly topic, which is where you would come into play.

We need mentors to lead a group of 6-10 students for an hour every Thursday from March - May. You don't need to have prior experience with teens or with leading a group, only an interest in helping our youth improve their lives and a willingness to talk honestly with them.

If this is something you'd be willing to do in tandem with a teen in your life, we are also always interested in peer mentors, who are paired with an adult to help lead a group.

Application Process

The application process includes emailing Jessica, B21's program and outreach coordinator, at [email protected] and registering online at: www.buildingtwentyone.org/volunteer/
