About Building Healthy Habits: Child Care
We are conducting a research study to assist the parents of preschoolers in the Lansing Head Start programs to build healthy eating and activity habits for their children. Help us provide child care while the parents are in educational sessions. For dates and times see tasks below.
**Background checks from MSU required. Please see form under documents.** A clear background check is required before a phone interview will be scheduled. After a successful interview, volunteers will be selected and assigned to the dates and times (tasks) below.

We need volunteers to help with:
May 1st 5:30-7:30pm
As a child care volunteer you will be responsible for children between the ages of three and eleven. Together with other volunteers, you will be responsible for greeting the children when their parents drop them off, serving them dinner, encouraging them to try new food, and playing games with them. During this time, their parents will be in another room attending an educational group about building healthy habits. Volunteers will also assist by setting up supplies before children arrive and cleaning up once children leave.
May 8th 5:30-7:30pm
As a child care volunteer you will be responsible for children between the ages of three and eleven. Together with other volunteers, you will be responsible for greeting the children when their parents drop them off, serving them dinner, encouraging them to try new food, and playing games with them. During this time, their parents will be in another room attending an educational group about building healthy habits. Volunteers will also assist by setting up supplies before children arrive and cleaning up once children leave.
May 22nd 4:30-6:30pm
