About Neighboring Volunteers

Your church/Bible study/small group/home church can Neighbor a family facing homelessness, to be the hands and feet of Christ. A group of 6-10 Bridge of Hope Neighboring Volunteers walk alongside each family in the program. Loving your neighbor means providing practical and tangible support to end the crisis of homelessness for a family. It can also mean building loving, encouraging relationships with parents and children who have experienced trauma and homelessness and are seeking to rebuild their lives. Volunteers help the family achieve their goals, and may provide emergency childcare, a meal when someone is sick, a listening ear, networking, a ride to work, or plan a birthday party. Neighboring provides a support system that is critical for ending family homelessness.
