About Volunteer with Boys & Girls Club!

Jr Staff Volunteer Opportunities:
At the Boys & Girls Clubs we encourage community involvement at all ages and levels. Since our clubs provide programming for youth ages 6-18 we have a minimum age requirement of all volunteers to be 19 and older. For those interested in volunteering who are younger than 19 and still in school please visit one of our local branch locations to discuss our Jr. Staff volunteer opportunities available. This program is designed to assist in developing leadership skills for club members and the youth within the surrounding community.

Volunteer Opportunities within the clubs:
--Club Activities: Boys & Girls Clubs offer activities for every child with every type of interest. Volunteers are needed to assist program staff with the arts; technology; education and career development; health and life skills; character and leadership development; sports, fitness and recreation; and so much more. Clubs are open Monday through Friday after school and summers during the day. Help make a difference in the life of a child.
--Athletics: We offer a wide variety of sports for kids which could not be provided without the help of volunteers. Volunteers are needed as coaches, referees score keepers and to run concessions.
--Mentoring: Help to inspire and motivate children by volunteering as a mentor. Mentors will work one on one with a child they are matched with to provide them with educational help, social, and emotional support, and career guidance.

Volunteer Opportunities working with Adults:
--Administrative Support: Even if you are not sure about working directly with children, we have ways for volunteers to make a difference. Often times what we need volunteers for is Club leadership, data entry, mailings, phones and front counter assistance. These volunteer positions are available at the Clubs and our Administrative Service Center.
--Special Events: Is your talent in planning special events? Participate in the Legacy of HOPE, Treasure Hunters, Don and Helen Murphy Memorial Golf Tournament, Dining with the stars Celebrity Chef Gala or a variety of other events.
