About Help us continue to serve youth with special needs at Adventure Camp

Adventure Camp Volunteers
Camp Dates: September 11-15, 2023

What is Adventure Camp?
Adventure Camp is a day camp style program hosted at Camp Crooked Creek in Shepherdsville, KY for students with special needs from around the area. Schools from Southern Indiana, Louisville, and the surrounding counties send classes to come out and experience camp for a day with activities including fishing, arts and crafts, pontoon boating, BB guns, archery, canoeing, and more! Adventure Camp begins each morning with a volunteer meeting at 8am and concludes by 2:30pm. As a bonus, lunch is provided!

Who can Volunteer?
Any adult, aged 18 or older, can volunteer at Adventure Camp! There are no special skills or pre-requisites required. Volunteers are needed to perform a wide variety of program support. Assignments can include face painting, rowing a canoe, ensuring safety, assisting with arts and craft kits, help with baiting a hook, and making sure life jackets are securely fastened. Volunteers can sign up from one day or more!
