About Japanese New Year's Celebration: O-shogatsu!

Join Boston Children’s Museum as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon at this year’s O-Shogatsu, or Japanese New Year celebration!

dragonFestivities will include live Taiko drumming by Rutsubo Taiko, Shishi-Mai (lion dance) by Steve Long, and Chado tea ceremony demonstrations by Urasenke Boston. Families can also participate in Mochi-tsuki (rice-pounding ceremony), Koma-mawashi (Japanese top spinning) and other Japanese New Year games.
