About Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society: Volunteer Details
We need horse people to foster horses throughout Texas. We also need horse enthusiasts to help check up on adopted and fostered horses (need to be familiar with horses but not an expert) and to trailer horses.
We have plenty of volunteer opportunities that do not require horse experience: helping at fundraising events, helping with volunteer management, with fundraisers and grant writing, with marketing, etc. We can find a place for everyone!
We need volunteers to help with:
Booth Coordinator
February 10, 2022 12:00pm
Talking to people in person is the best way to teach people about Bluebonnet, what we do, and how they can get more involved. Before the pandemic started, we used to holds booths at horse events, community events, feed and tack stores, etc. to hand out info about Bluebonnet, talk about our horses and upcoming events, and take donations. Since things are starting to happen again, I would love to see us get out there and do things!
We now need a Booth Coordinator who can help find booth opportunities, recruit volunteers to staff them, and make sure the volunteers have what they need to run a successful booth.

Internet Ad Team
February 10, 2022 12:00pm
Our Internet Ad Team places ads for horses available for adoption on websites, Facebook groups, etc. Each person is assigned as many sites or groups as they would like to have and will post ads, update ads, and remove ads once horses have been adopted.
Foster Home
February 10, 2022 12:00pm
We need folks with the space and time to foster horses. We pay for all pre-approved veterinary care, supplements, and medications. We pay for hoof trimming and deworming, and we offer a stipend of $80-$150 (depending on the horse) to help offset some of the costs of hay/grain.
Trailering
February 10, 2022 12:00pm
We need people with trucks and trailers to help us more horses to new foster homes, get horses to events, and get horses to the veterinarian. We pay up to $1/mile (depending on the trip) for fuel.
