A fundraising campaign for Athletics

Support Cross Country/Track on 4.26.17!!

The Canisius College cross country/track teams have been taken to new heights since the hiring of current head coach Nate Huckle. For the first time in program history, the Griffs finished first in the 2014 National Catholic Championships, knocking off the host University of Notre Dame. The Following season, Chad Maloy placed first in the National Catholic event, becoming the first ever Griff to win the Championship. In conference competition, the men’s cross country team has finished no lower than third place at the MAAC Championship in the last four years. The women’s team has also made great strides, with Siobhan Quinn winning the Cross Country individual title at the 2016 MAAC Championship.

The cross-country/track teams are directed by SUNY Brockport graduate Nate Huckle, who was named the 2016 MAAC Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year, after placing second in this year’s Championship. The fifth-year head coach also helped resurrect the Canisius indoor and outdoor track program during the 2014 season. Chad Maloy and Meredith Shaul assist Huckle, both are new to the program this season.
