About Binghamton University’s Radio Show “Sustainable Binghamton”

Program addresses issues of local sustainability through interviews, news, and music on WHRW-90.5FM, Tuesdays, 5:30 – 6:30PM

BINGHAMTON – The Binghamton Regional Sustainability Coalition is launching "Sustainable Binghamton Radio", a weekly program of local news, interviews and music, on Tuesday, 5:30 – 6:30PM, airing on WHRW 90.5 FM (streaming online at www.whrwfm.org).

Sustainable Binghamton Radio features organizations, activities and ideas which contribute to our region's social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Each Program features guests from the campus and the community discussing how we can work together to create a sustainable region. Topics include food coops, food buying clubs, farmers markets, community gardens, natural gas production, green jobs, 350.org, energy conservation, community music and art, cooperatives, and more! In addition, we'll showcase music performed by local artists (occasionally performed live). The program is created in partnership with the Binghamton Regional Sustainability Coalition (BRSC), a community organization, and will also involve many Binghamton University student organizations, faculty and staff dedicated to sustainability.
