About Adoption Event Planner/Animal Handler

Adoptions are our main goal and a great way for people to fall in love with their future pet is meeting them at one of these events. This position needs someone who is creative and detail-oriented. As a planner, you will work with our teams in planning adoption events. This includes locating venues, setting-up the venue space for our animals and making arrangements for the transport of animals and supplies to and from the event.

Are you not into planning, but love being around animals? Well, you can volunteer as an Animal Handler at the Big Hands Little Paws’ events. You will greet our available cats and dogs when they arrive, get them settled into their cage or space, take the dogs for walks and keep the cat cages clean, make introductions and answer questions from would-be adopters.
