About Become a Big Apple Greeter

Greeters meet visitors from all over the world and share the New York City neighborhoods the greeter knows well, visiting ethnic and specialty stores, food shops, historic buildings, etc. Greeters also educate visitors on using public transportation.
Meeting from 1–6 people at a time, Greeters make visitors feel welcome, comfortable and excited about our city. Greeters must be available at least one day per month for at least four hours per visit. Visits must start between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
