About 2018 BPUSA Gathering Volunteers
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Bereaved Parents of the USA (BPUSA) will hold their National Gathering on August 3-5, 2018 at Whispering Woods Resort in Olive Branch, MS located 30 minutes from Memphis, TN. Volunteers are needed in the following areas to help BPUSA staff assist bereaved families in attendance:
Registration, Raffle/ Silent Auction, Boutique, Workshops, Crafts, Memory Walk, Reflection Room, Hospitality Room.
We need 20-25 volunteers. Volunteers can report as early as August 2nd at 2pm. Volunteers will assist various bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings, and workshop presenters and guest speakers throughout the weekend. BPUSA is a non-profit, non-denominational organization helping grieving parent and families rebuild their lives after the death of a child.
Application Process

We need volunteers to help with:
Raffle/ Silent Auction
Assist attendees in purchasing tickets, completing the tickets and placing tickets in appropriate item bags.
Maintain cleanliness of Raffle / Silent Auction area
Assist winners in retrieving their prizes
Assist BPUSA POC in cleanup of area
Registration Volunteer
Boutique Volunteer
Assist attendees in making purchases during Open hours
Help BPUSA POC bag attendees' purchases as needed
Maintain cleanliness of Boutique
Assist in closing the Boutique by packing up items not purchased
Workshops / Memory Walk Volunteer
Assist Workshop Presenters as needed
Maintain cleanliness of workshop rooms.
Assist Gathering attendees get to workshops on time
Collect workshop evaluations at the end of each workshop & return evaluations to Registration table
Assist Workshops POC as needed
Assist Memory Walk POC on Sunday morning in placing signs on Walk route.
Assist Memory Walk participants as needed around route.
Supply water to walk participants on walk route.
Remove Memory Walk signs after Walk is complete & giving signs to those sponsors.
Please indicate Wednesday availability on Page 3 of Volunteer Registration Form in documents area.
Creation Station Volunteer
Assist attendees in making various projects: Votive candles, painting rocks, decorating memory bulbs, decorating scream boxes, decorating hearts to hang on Memory Trees, and various paper projects within 15 minutes between workshops.
Maintain cleanliness of area
Assist attendees in getting to workshops, Hospitality & Reflection Rooms as needed.
Assist Creation Station POC in cleanup of Creation Station on Saturday night/ Sunday.
Raffle/ Silent Auction
Assist attendees in purchasing tickets, completing the tickets and placing tickets in appropriate item bags.
Maintain cleanliness of Raffle / Silent Auction area
Assist winners in retrieving their prizes
Assist BPUSA POC in cleanup of area
