About Active Board Member

The Advisory Board of The Benchmark Foundation shall be responsible for the confirmation of policies and procedures pertaining to the business operations of the organization and shall serve as advisors for the organization’s Executive Director. The primary function of the Board will be to help screen those seeking assistance as well as employment.
Meetings are to be held with regularity and may be conducted face to face, teleconference, or video conference (skype). Special meetings may be held at any time mutually convenient when called by the President or a majority of the board members. Passage of any motion requires simple majority of the Board; therefore, no voting shall take place without a quorum being present.
Members will hold seats on the Board after appointment until their resignation or until/unless in the light of some type of unresolved conflict a member is voted out by a majority of the Board. Members holding official positions on the Board such as the President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer may occupy such seats for a period of 3 years before a board election is held to re-elect or replace these officials.
