About the Legacy of Giving Campaign

Each year, the Beltrami Humane Society rescues, cares for, and find homes for about 300 homeless cats and dogs. This year, we have been especially busy and have adopted 25% more animals than last year! We are so happy to be able to provide companion animals with needed vaccinations, preventative care treatments, spay/neuter surgeries, proper facilities, and personal care. However, we cannot continue to provide those services without your support. Right now, we have a $25,000 funding gap that we have to make up before the end of the year. We receive no city, county or state funding to do this work. We depend on the support of community members to provide a safe haven for these animals and care for them until they are in their forever homes.

About Beltrami Humane Society

The Beltrami Humane Society was established in 1977 by a group of concerned citizens who felt a need for an organization that would provide shelter to homeless animals. We are proud to be a “no-kill” shelter. The “no-kill” policy ensures that we do not euthanize animals on a routine basis in order to make room for other animals.

Since 1977, the Beltrami Humane Society has helped thousands of companion animals with a second chance at life. We are very proud of our efforts to rehome abandoned, surrendered and stray companion animals and the service we provide to our community. Over the past 36 years we have honed our services to provide an even greater quality service for more than 250 animals per year.
