About Become a Patient Care Volunteer for Baptist Home Care & Hospice North Mississippi
Patient Care Volunteers are needed in Desoto, Tate, Marshall, Lafayette, Panola, Tallahatchie, Calhoun, and Yalobusha counties. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team. Patient Care Volunteers provide a variety of services to patients and families. Some of these services may include making visits to the patient's home, making phone calls to the patient or caregiver, running errands, providing emotional support and companionship by reading, playing games, journaling, listening to music, looking at photos, or writing letters.
Application Process
Requirements: Patient Care Volunteers are provided with a training session before beginning any volunteer work. Background checks and TB skin tests are also required. An individual must be at least 18 years of age or older to be a Patient Care Volunteer
