Booker Autism Foundation of Learning, Inc. (BAFOL) is a 100% volunteer ran and operated organization that started in 2012. Our programs are volunteer ran and operated by community members who have a passion and desire to fulfill the need of those children who are on the Spectrum of Autism. One such need, is the BAFOL Bears Summer Camp. During the camp, one special program that is offered by the camp, is the "ART as Education" program. This program is held the month of June, for ages 8-12 years old. It consist of a FREE four week camp that enriches the lives of the children on the Spectrum of Autism in an ARTISTIC way. That child is given an outlet to "SHINE" by being creative on canvass/paper with their inner talent coming out in a positive expressive manner.
We also have other activities that warrant volunteerism in Kentucky. Our summer camp, talent showcase, fall festivals, and workshops are just some of the events that we need assistance in.
All applicants have to be at least 16 years of age and up, have experience working in a club/group environment, experience working with special needs children, and complete a background check (application).
