Love Box: Supporting & Sustaining Foster Families
Austin Angels exists to serve foster families and kids. Individuals and group volunteers are matched with a local family. Each month, the volunteers pack needs items, gifts, and personal notes into a "Love Box" and deliver to their family. Pre-and Post COVID-19 volunteers will use the delivery is an opportunity to build intentional mentorship relationships by playing games, sharing a meal, reading together, and laughing with kids that need to feel loved. In the meantime they will commit to supporting the family virtually through FaceTime, zoom calls, texts, and virtual support. Click here to sign up to volunteer:.

Dare to Dream: Mentoring Youth in Care + Aged-out Youth
Austin Angels wants to match highly passionate volunteers to mentor and support one youth in foster care. Mentors will build relationships and teach life skills with the hope of creating positive outcomes and independent living skills for youth in foster care. Pre-and Post COVID-19 Mentors will work closely with a youth (ages 11-21). They will meet in person at least 2x month to build relationships, teach life skills, complete an activity, or simply spend time together. Volunteers must be 22+ and have a significant age gap between themselves and the youth. In the meantime they will commit to supporting the youth virtually through FaceTime, zoom calls, texts, and virtual support. Click here to apply to be a mentor:

3. Donate

Give money if you have the means to allow us to continue to keep our operations as functional and sustainable as possible. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on donations from the community to continue the work that is changing children's lives. Your support allows us to change the way children, teens, young adults, and caretakers experience the foster care system.
