About Learn from your Neighbors

Part of the Library’s mission is to promote reading and culture. To facilitate that goal, Columbia Pike Branch Library is launching a series of programs that will highlight books in their collection.
Volunteers are expected to attend the planning and practice meetings as well as all of the presentations. In the process they will learn more about the Library’s collection and develop or improve their public speaking skills in the process.

Be a part of this program while it is still in development.

The shift is the first Tuesday of every month from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for planning/practice sessions and presentations. This is in addition to the time the volunteer will read the book and create their presentation. A six-month commitment is requested.
Presenters must be dependable, interested in sharing their joy of reading with others and a team player. Those 18 years and older must consent to a background check.
