About Socializing

Socializers work directly with our cats to acclimate them to shelter life and socialize them in preparation for adoption. Socializers get to know each cat and its personality by spending time grooming and playing with it. Particular attention is paid to shy or scared cats.

Requirements
Attend 1 training session
15 years of age or older (If 14 or younger, must be accompanied by a parent)
Socializer Shifts
1 – 2 hour shifts scheduled Monday – Friday between 11am – 4pm

Application Process

Fill out volunteer application and attend 1 training session at shelter

Family-Friendly

Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
