Animal Advocates of Western New York is an all volunteer organization that was formed in 1985 as Animal Rights Advocates of Western New York.  Although most of our members have "day jobs" that are unrelated to animal advocacy, probably all of us wish that we could run a huge animal sanctuary! 

We have witnessed many acts and forms of cruelty to animals, and our goal is to eliminate the abuse and exploitation of animals.  It's not any easy thing to do, and change doesn't happen overnight.  But as the victories happen, little by little, we know that our work isn't all for naught.  We envision a day when animal abuse and exploitation will be things of the past.
