About Computer Class Volunteer

Are you good with computers? Do you want to help immigrants and refugees learn important professional and life skills? Participants at Americana need your help learning their way around today’s everyday tool, the computer.

Fall Computer Class: Mondays and Tuesdays September 11th - November 28th

How can you help?

ASSISTANT: Provide support to the instructor of the beginning computer skills course. This will consist of helping with set up, answering questions, and providing one-on-one assistance to students during interactive activities.
Time: Mondays 5:30pm - 7pm

TUTOR: Work one-on-one with students to help them learn and practice specific skills such as Microsoft Office, online banking, and resume building. Provide support to the instructor and answer students’ questions during a short lesson each class.
Time: Tuesdays 5:30pm - 7pm

Application Process

Volunteers must fill out a online volunteer application and attend volunteer orientation before starting.
