About The 2018 St. John's Lutheran Church Health Day

The 2018 Lutheran Church Health Day on Saturday October 13th will provide screening for diabetes, elevated cholesterol, glaucoma, hypertension, vision problems and obesity as well as education on the these conditions and guidance towards lifestyle change. A variety of professionals will be on hand to assist in offering this priceless service to the community free of charge.
Med 3 students, faculty and staff are invited to volunteer.
Refreshments will be provided to all volunteers.
The bus will leave the AUA Bus Stop on campus at 7:45am (AM Shift) and at 10:40am (PM Shift) please ensure that you take the appropriate bus for your shift.

Med 3 students are expected to assist with health screenings inclusive of BMI, vision, blood pressure, history taking and patient education. Note that volunteers will be placed at stations as needed. Please dress professionally, wear white coats, bring along a good pen, a clipboard, BP cuff, stethoscope and otoscope if you have.

Faculty are required to organize patient flow and ensure that patients are directed through the screening process. Faculty must familiarize themselves with the venue layout in order to assist patients to navigate.
